Lose Weight Fast: How I Lost 10 Pounds in 30 Days

How I Lost 10 Pounds in 30 Days

Losing weight is not as difficult or as painful as you think it is. By following these 2 simple “rules”, you can effectively lose as much weight as you want.

Rule #1. To lose weight, you simply have to expend more energy than you consume. It’s that simple. There are no magic pills, no magic creams and magic machines that can do it for you. If there were, there would be no overweight people in the world.

Rule #2. Keep 2 key numbers constantly in mind. The first is the number of calories you need to “sustain life” on a daily basis. This number will vary from individual to individual depending on your weight, your age and your level of daily physical activities. This number is easily obtained from websites like https://www.laweekly.com/floraspring-reviews-probiotic-weight-loss-supplement-details/. The second number which you will need to know is the number 3,500. This is the number of calories you need to expend to lose 1 pound of weight.

So, assuming you are a 42 year old male like me, you will need 2,750 calories per day to maintain your weight. To lose weight, you will have to expend more than you consume and this can be done by (a) cutting down on what you eat; (b) exercising more; or (c) a combination of both.

To achieve my goal of 10 pounds in 1 month, this worked out to me having to “lose” approximately 1,100 calories per day for 30 day (3,500 x 10 pounds divided by 30). What I did was simple. I merely reduced my caloric intact my 25% which gave me around 700 calories. Next, I exercised for 40 minutes per day which added another 500 calories to the calculation. Hence, in total I would lose an average 1,200 calories per day. At the end of 30 days, I lost a total of 36,000 which worked out to 10 pounds.

Now, many of you may think that this feat required superhuman discipline and effort. On the contrary, all it took was some simple changes to my life-style. In fact, by keeping the 2 numbers constantly in mind, I even ate ice-cream and even cookies during my regime. All I had to do was ensure that I ate less than the 2,000 calories per day. In fact, simple changes like skipping dessert during lunch, drinking coffee with less cream and sugar, and saying no to that mid-day snack helped reduced the number of calories I consumed without any pain. In addition, simple acts like taking the stairs instead of the elevator and taking the bus instead of the car also added to the regime.

Overall, losing weight is not difficult. It simply requires you to consume less calories than you expend and keep 2 numbers constantly in mind. Thus, while your goal may not be as extreme as mine of 10 pounds in 1 month, you can just as easily lose weight by following these simple rules. If I can do it, so can you.
